Skip loader
Skip-loaders for municipal operations are used to collect, transport and dispose of material with a high specific weight, such as ground excavation debris and construction waste. Typically, the Actros with two or three axles is used to transport containers with volumes of up to 20 m3. The advantages of skip-loaders include: quick changing of containers, compact dimensions and good manoeuvrability.

Bodies and mounted components can be installed without drilling.
The Actros chassis with top-class features and high availability of wheelbases and frame overhangs forms a solid basis for successful body mounting. Chassis reinforcements provide the necessary stability and safety during operation. It also has the standardised tapering frame section. Thanks to the 50-mm hole matrix, bodies and mounted components such as extra fuel tanks can be installed without drilling extra holes. In addition, all chassis components are coated with cataphoretic dip primer, the best possible corrosion protection.

Harness the power of the Actros – with PTOs.
To power necessary equipment, such as skip-loader hydraulics, the Actros offers a wide range of engines, transmissions and power take-offs (PTOs). The excellent fuel efficiency and low engine and drivetrain wear are further advantages in skip-loader applications, where stationary use of a power take-off can significantly impact fuel consumption.
